Master Bathroom Remodel - Discovery Harbor, HI
Re-finished wood vanity, lifted up to standard height, hidden custom built in medicine cabinets with custom shelf heights for their preferred cosmetic items featuring an outlet inside for toothbrush charging out of sight. Covered by old, repurposed mirrors with European hinges for functionality and clean look when closed. Quarts countertop with two under mount sinks installed. Elegant wall mounted sink faucets for making cleaning and maintenance over the years easy. Mosaic tiles installed throughout the whole floor flowing straight into the curb less shower. Custom subway tile with thin grout line backsplash behind the vanity, and for the shower walls and niche. This was a elderly couple final home and bathroom remodel we custom designed with them to meet the current and future needs.Â

Roof leak of 9 years had damaged the framing, sheetrock and with the high heat and humidity of the area had extreme black mold growing all behind the walls. After demo, mold remediation, we framed the walls plumb, hung cement board, installed custom mud bed pan, waterproofed, and then installed the tile we helped the clients pick out and designed the layout. We re-purposed a 15-year-old double hinge glass door and fixed panel they had salvaged on the island years prior. Fresh tile floor going out of the bathroom into the main entry way completed the space nicely. Maria also refinished their old vanity in the master bedroom before we installed new tabletop sink and a barn door. She also managed to dehaze and clean the master shower tile that was natural stone that was never sealed before, got it clean and sealed to refresh the shower and have it glowing again.
